Overview

Tatiana Cloudius Graf, or simply Tatiana, is one of the protagonists of UKMC Volume I, UKMC Volume III: Minervaindexca, and the overall protagonist of the UKMC saga. Tatiana was the only successful design child, or M-factor replicant, created by the Pupatorian Gene Research Institute as the solution for space exploration initially. She was treated as a superweapon after Miotia-Candor focused on militarization. She served in the United Royal Army up until she sacrificed her memory and original personality to save Fuyu Inaban. After her memory loss, Tatiana is seemingly a regular student of the Fenrir Academy, part of Minervaindexca, who is unaware of her past.

Pre-memory loss Tatiana does not show emotion as she is conditioned to be a tactical weapon. Post-memory loss Tatiana’s character changes drastically from an active and energetic person.

During her time in service, she is known as the invincible, mass-caring doll. This is due to her seemingly immortal, superhuman regenerative abilities caused by the M-factor in her, as well as her excellent proficiency in close combat. While she does not require a lot due to M-factor-efficient energy distribution between her cells, she does sleep a lot.

Appearance

Tatiana has a thin, Hime-style short hairstyle with silver hair. She has yellow eyes and is part of the Nymfi ethnic sub-group. Before memory loss, Tatiana is often seen wearing a normal United Royal Army military uniform. After memory loss, Tatiana is often seen wearing a black summer dress or the Fenrir Academy Uniform.

There are rune-like scars on her back that resulted from a side effect of using a certain relic to save Inaban Fuyu’s life.

Personality

Pre-memory loss Tatiana was cold, machine-like, and never showed any human emotion. As the perfect design child of the PGRI, she was conditioned to be an M-factor, an enchanted human killing machine from the moment she was born. During her time in the special forces with Graf’s division, she slowly developed human emotion and social skills due to how her comrades treated her like a human being.

Post-memory loss, Tatiana’s personality has regressed to that of a normal girl of her age. While she does not remember, nor do any of the adults around her let her know her past, she slowly discovers things about herself that seem abnormal. From time to time, memories of the past haunt her as a sort of nightmare; she forgets about them when she wakes up.

Story

Creation
Tatiana was a design child created with the base DNA map of Inaban Fuyu. Making her a younger sister to both Inaban Fuyu and Shinozaki Haru. Tatiana was officially born on March 13th of 2008, at the PGRI headquarters in secret. Unlike Shinozaki Haru, Tatiana’s body consists of artificially created Miraculum cells that are modeled after human cells, making her a walking M-factor. She was labeled a biohazard of mass destruction in the embryo stage before the PGRI found a way to keep her body’s cellular structure intact from slowly disintegrating.

Early Military Service
Tatiana was assigned to the Imperial Intelligence Department in 2016 as a black-ops operative, posing as a child soldier and spy. She had assassinated over a hundred businessmen and political threats to the state during her career in the Intelligence Department. She was often disguised as the daughter of another operative to infiltrate targeted facilities. 

Anti-Occult Division
In early 2017, Tatiana was assigned to a top-secret Anti-Occult Division under the Imperial Intelligence Department to counter the supernatural that had begun obstructing the Imperial government's operations. On December 24th of 2017, the Anti-Occult Division launched an attack on a rebel-occupied uncharted village south of Kanatoro, which is also Tatiana’s first encounter with Kaguya Fushimi. Having realized she cannot exhaust Tatiana, Kaguya decided to retreat. Despite Tatiana’s attempt to capture Kaguya, Kaguya managed to escape with Ayakashi Arts. 

United Kingdom Civil War
When the civil war broke out in early 2019, Tatiana’s division was reorganized and tasked with defending the Candorian capital of Kanatoro from the socialist faction invading from the east. A veteran named Mustang Graf joined this division and eventually formed a father-like bond with Tatiana. 

The operation to defend Kanatoro was Tatiana’s first experience in open-field combat. Because of her ruthlessness and brutality in combat against more armored and infantry units, her existence had become an urban legend within the army during and after the civil war and was also known as the “Battle Fairy”. 

The provisional government had declassified many PGRI documents and projects. The “Battle Fairy” was kept as an urban legend, and Tatiana’s existence was never confirmed in official records.

The Dawner Conflict
After the Anti-Occult Division was disbanded, Graf was put in charge of a mobile task unit under the SSS. Tatiana was also assigned to Graf’s division due to the two’s father-daughter-like relationship. Graf’s division was sent to assist the Serbatijan Empire in a peacekeeping mission against the cultists named as the “Dawners”. They were assisted by a multinational peacekeeping force of Jezabelstien, Kyaon, Tlanyuca, and Serpenteum. Due to heavy losses among the allied peacekeeping forces, they were forced to retreat. The United Royal Airforce came to extract them, building a relationship between the Graf’s division and the Air Chief of Staff, Hana Hirosei. 

Fateful Meeting
After Fuyuki Mashiro (Character) had secured power in the provisional government, the United Royal Airforce launched a Black Ops operation on the United Royal Navy’s Headquarters in Ar Arsviellec. This was an underground struggle between the former noble Hirosei House that controlled the Aerospace industry and the former noble Inaban House that controlled the Naval industry. The Graf division was given the mission to take the classified hard drive that contained intel about PGRI projects that were still hidden under the twin kingdom. While the rest of Graf’s division destroyed the communications and power generators, Tatiana was confronted by Fuyu Inaban herself. 

This would be Tatiana meeting her original. Without hesitation, Tatiana opened fire and followed Inaban along the hallway filled with traps. Despite triggering deadly traps along the hallway, Tatiana eventually caught up with Inaban. Just as Tatiana was about to deal the fatal blow, Haru Shinozaki came to rescue Inaban and knocked Tatiana to the other end of the hallway. Shinozaki repeatedly fired an anti-tank shell at Tatiana and destroyed structural supports of the west wing. Despite Shinozaki’s efforts, Tatiana’s body managed to stitch itself back together. Realizing they couldn’t destroy her, Shinozaki carried Inaban and retreated. Inaban detonated the explosive that was attached to the Naval Headquarters columns, causing the building to burn and collapse, hoping to destroy all classified documents.

Unfortunately for the Inaban House, the Candorian Quality HDD’s disc was made with Decagrammatonian ceramic, a PGRI-developed material not yet known to the democratic faction of the  UKMC at this time. Tatiana eventually managed to recover the HDD in the burning inferno and delivered it to the Hirosei House.

The data within the HDD would allow the United Royal Air Force to discover the Wlefvelia Project and the Icarus Project. Two projects that would play a vital role in the Minervaindexca Arc.

The Graf Division was temporarily dismissed and was given an indefinite paid holiday the same day the United Kingdom States was proclaimed.

Gaining Humanity
The same year, multiple wars broke out a month after the United Kingdom States was founded. The Serpenteum-UKS War, the Jezabelstien-UKS War, the Valarssari War, etc. It was called the UKS Wars of Foundation in history books. During this period in mid-2019, the Graf Division took refuge in the Fronteran SSS branch after all communications and power were lost. After the news of Valarssari bathing Ar Arsviellec in antimatter, the Graf Division decided to assist the humanitarian effort there. Despite them being former enemies, Graf felt that he should at least save Tatiana’s blood-related relative, Fuyu Inaban. In the wreckage of the 1st Fleet, the Graf Division rescued Akima Koutetsujou and the fatally wounded Fuyu Inaban. 

One of the men in Graf’s division, Hijikata Toshiro, revealed there was a recently stolen artifact from the Meridian Commonwealth’s ASCII black site that could save Fuyu Inaban at a cost. It was revealed that Hijikata participated in raiding ASCII’s black site in Tramuntana while the UKMC was in civil war.

The group arrived in Victoria Harbour in Pupatorian Hong Kong to meet up with Fengese operatives who also desired the artifact and would assist the group in breaking into Yotsubishi Far East Branch. The Yotsubishi Far East Branch also served as the Far East Branch for the SSS’s containment storage. They attempted to infiltrate the Corporate branch to participate in the networking ball.

Unfortunately for the group, Edward Lou recognized Akima. While Edward questioned what Akima was doing in the Far East, the rest broke into the underground levels to the containment chambers. Akima lied to Edward about deserting the United Royal Navy and saw a business opportunity in Pupatorian Hong Kong being the new economic capital after the war. Edward pretended to have accepted his answer and left. Eventually, Edward reported to Soua Lam, the Director of Yotsubishi Far East Branch, who was fine with the artifact being taken. However, Soua wanted to test out the newly developed commercial product of Aragami Ravagers robots on Simon Mendelson (Character)’s ‘masterpiece’. Soua sent an army of crawling death bots toward the Graf division, forcing Tatiana to stay behind and took care of her mechanical ‘replacements’.

Eventually Akima and the group retrieved the artifact and regrouped with Tatiana. Tatiana faced an existential crisis as she looked at the sentry robots she had destroyed. Realizing she is no different from her replacement, she desperately tried to find and form a new identity within herself. Graf carried Tatiana as the group fought their way off the Corporate branch and returned to Victoria Harbour.

Realizing the artifact needed a sacrifice of one to save another. Akima initially volunteered to save Inaban; however, Inaban objected to the idea, as she doesn’t want Akima to die. Tatiana, understanding that neither Akima nor Inaban wanted to leave each other, took the artifact from the group by force. Declaring that by saving her original copy, Inaban, it would define her identity as an individual, not as a weapon; by saving Inaban, she would be saving herself as well. Graf tried to stop Tatiana, but Tatiana activated the artifact regardless. Bright light engulfed the room as Inaban’s wounds were healed and Tatiana was gravely injured, losing 80% of her body mass. 

Post Memory Loss
While Tatiana survived, she had lost her memories and her weapon-like personality. Tatiana’s mentality had regressed to what was considered normal at her age. With the Valarssari and Jezabelstien forces retreating, and Serpentuem’s armistice. When the  Wars were finally over. Tatiana retired from the military with Graf as her adoptive father. Despite some opposition from within the government, Grand Chancellor Mashiro eventually approved Tatiana’s retirement.

The Heller Incident
In 2020, an Omikanyan terrorist Itashkir, attacked the capital and killed most of the executive branch of the Edokyuurian government. This allowed the United Royal Army to stage a coup and seize power from the civilian government. The Air Force chief, Hirosei Hana, sent forces to get Graf, Tatiana, and the third princess Himiko out of the UKS. To have them take refuge in Minervaindexca. Both Tatiana and Himiko were enrolled in the Fenrir Academy through special channels. 

Unknown to post-memory-loss Tatiana, this was a planned development by Eudokia Kyriefall Augusthina (Character) to remove the last obstacles in the UKS to her grand plan.

Even after Heller’s coup had failed, with the restoration of the democratic government by Mashiro, Tatiana and Himiko continued to study in Minervaindexca. Himiko’s identity and whereabouts are hidden by both Minervaindexca and UKS media.**
