Overview

Eudokia Kyriefall Augusthina, commonly referred to as Eudokia, is the second princess of the Kyriefall Neo-Pupatorian Dynasty of the United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor (State). Eudokia is the primary antagonist of the first half of UKMC Volume III: Minervaindexca. She is known as the next in line for the throne, as well as the Federal Student Council President of Minervaindexca.

A ruthless and ambitious individual who paved the way for herself by force. She is partially responsible for the assassination of her father, Emperor Nerodysseus II, in 2011. Ignition of the civil war within her own country, as well as the fire in the Imperial Palace that killed her sister and brothers. She aimed to solve the Miraculum Crisis and secure Pupatory’s future using whatever means necessary.

Eudokia is a liberal reformer and a realist; unlike Fuyuki Mashiro (Character), she is not so optimistic about society or humanity. She is also not good at expressing herself; this is due to her isolationist lifestyle that was forced upon her back when she was in the Imperial Palace, which she grew to resent. She distances herself from her younger sister, Himiko Kyriefall Augusthina. This is because she believes that her lack of social skills might further hurt her. Eudokia is fully capable of defending herself with firearms as a former child ranger of the SSY.

Appearance

As part of the Cogelixa ethnic group, Eudokia has purple eyes and long silver hair, often seen with a ponytail and a ribbon. Due to her sword practice as a hobby, her figure is slim yet athletic. She is often seen wearing the Federal Student Council Presidential Uniform. It resembles a white military uniform with decorations of academic distinction.

There are rare times when Eudokia lets her hair down; Kaguya noted that she looked prettier that way.

Personality

Eudokia’s character is complex and cunning. Her initial drive for reform or even the destruction of Miotia-Candor was purely out of spite due to how she was treated by her siblings. She was the only royal who was forced to join Social Security Youth Legion military camp as a propaganda tool. Having experienced her friend Stella Tonelico being indoctrinated by the Hasis Idea National Curriculum, she resents the Imperial family that was once worshiped as messengers of the divine Wlefvelia, who allowed such dystopia to continue to exist for nearly a century. When realizing her younger sister, Himiko Kyriefall Augusthina would suffer the same fate as her, she changed her goal to create a better world for her. Even before finding out the truth about the girl dreaming in the crystal, Eudokia has no intention of ascending to the throne; she believes that even if the people support the monarchy, the rightful monarch is someone else.

Eudokia is also a meritocrat who values individuals who, like her, fought against the irrationality of society and cut their own path. Minervaindexca’s societal system is shaped by her ideals. 

Ever since meeting Miss Shirayama in Flugel, Eudokia’s top priority is always Himiko. However, she believed that distancing herself from Himiko was for the best to protect her. Eudokia lacks social skills; whenever she speaks, it always serves a purpose to further her ambitions and goals. Eudokia does not know or understand that Himiko is afraid of her due to her coldness.

Story

Early Life

Eudokia was born as the second princess of the Kyriefall Imperial House on January 12, 2004. The Kyriefall Dynasty, also known as the Neo-Pupatorian dynasty, established itself in 1997 between the marriage of Candorian Imperatrix Kurumi and Miotian Emperor Nerodysseus II. 

Eudokia was born to be a propaganda tool, as the Imperial family already had a male heir. When the Social Security Youth Legion program was established in 2008, she was sent there to raise morale for the commoners and indoctrinate kids who dreamed of being knights. She met Stella Tonelico and the two became good friends. In the Imperial Palace, Eudokia spends most of her hard-earned free time with Himiko, whom she truly can one-sidedly relate to. 

During the Imperial family visit to Rikura (Nation). Duchess Yoshiko Saruwatari of Rikura, Eudokia’s aunt, who was more of a mother to Eudokia than Imperatrix Kurumi treated her well. And Eudokia would always rely on Duchess Yoshiko. This would begin the inseparable relationship between Duchess Yoshiko and Eudokia.

On the eve of the plan for Miotia-Candor to invade Kjanu, Eudokia and Stella would both head to the Flugel SSY camp during the spring of 2011. There they encountered a pre-Pupatorian shrine desiccated to a fox deity. The two continued to their destination unaware that they were watched by a Chaodic spirit. The two undertook the mission to check and convince Miss Shirayama, an old lady who lived alone in the mountain. They had to convince her to come down the mountain due to an incoming snowstorm, but she refused. The two decided that they would stay and take care of Shirayama until the storm was over. Miss Shirayama kept her promise to the end to wait for her son’s return one day from the city, despite Eudokia telling her her son is not coming back for her.  Miss Shirayama saw a hallucination of her son outside in the storm when the two were sleeping; this resulted in the old lady stepping outside into the storm, never to be seen again.

“It’s his happiness. The fact that he told me he would come back for me alone makes me happy.”

“Even if it’s a lie, I’m still very happy he told me so. I will continue to wait for him because that’s all I can do as a mother.” 

These words echoed inside Eudokia even after Shirayama was gone. This moved her to the core, realizing what she was doing in Flugel was meaningless, and she only had infinite time. Eudokia packed up her things and left for the Imperial Palace to save her sister.

Fateful Meeting

While on the train back to the Imperial Palace, Eudokia was saved by a mysterious individual who “took care of” her pursuers sent by the Imperial Guards. This individual revealed herself to be an agent named Kaguya Fushimi from an investment company called Lilim Scarlet Limited. At first, Eudokia pretended to play her games; when Kaguya was under guard, Eudokia pulled out her gun and shot the suspicious corporate agent in the leg. However, she was quickly restrained by Kaguya. Eudokia noticed how Kaguya was unaffected by the gunshot; Eudokia figured out her opponent was not human.

With Eudokia tied up, Kaguya revealed her plan to save Miotia-Candor by stopping the warmongers in the Imperial government. When Kaguya revealed that kidnapping and saving Himiko was part of the plan, Eudokia agreed to the plan.

Preparation of a New Era

During a meeting with the Pupatorian Gene Research Institute that was held in the Imperial Palace, Kaguya managed to forge a fake research ID and was given an invitation letter by Eudokia. Eudokia baited his father by angering him due to her sneaking into the forbidden section of the Imperial library. His father, Emperor Nerodyusses II, ordered the guards to leave to give them privacy. This was the opportunity made for Kaguya to assassinate Nerodyusses II. 

However, Simon Mendelson, the director of PGRI, accidentally walked in and saw the act. Simon was amused by this development and challenged Kaguya to a duel for the Twin Kingdom’s future, to which Kaguya took Eudokia and vanished with Ayakashi Arts. Eudokia argued with Kaguya that they should head by for Himiko. However, Kaguya had stated it was too dangerous, and assured her that if they stopped the militarist faction, Himiko would be safe.

The assassination of Nerodyusses II was covered up. As a split within the Imperial family would risk political stability during the times of high tension. Due to the death of the Emperor, the invasion of Kjanu was called off by the Senate to focus on domestic matters.

Revelation

As promised, Kaguya revealed herself to be an Ayakashi, and to Eudokia what she and the PGRI found under Edokyuuria in 1982. Kaguya told Eudokia the girl dreaming in the crystal is a ticking time bomb from the Chaodis era, and she is here to fix her wrongdoings from two millennia ago. The two set up a temporary base of operation in the underground ruins of Chaodis as they plan their next move.

Kaguya asked if Eudokia is aware of the whereabouts of the artifact that started it all, the Tainted Grail. It should be in the possession of the original Pupatorian clergy clans. Which is what the Kyriefall dynasty truly is, as the original Pupatorian Imperial family started by Afixishelle Leythal was no more. If they were to ever solve the Miraculum crisis, they needed to study the Tainted Grail.

Eudokia and Kaguya searched through the pile of random forbidden Imperial documents they had stolen from the palace. They eventually concluded that the Tainted Grail must’ve been lost and taken by the Christians during the First Crusade, as all documentation of its mention stopped after the decline of the Pupatorian Empire. 

Preparation for Revolution

One year after the assassination of the Emperor. In 2012, Eudokia and Kaguya met with the new head of the Hirosei House, a renowned nobility house known for their pilot achievements. Hana Hirosei, the new head of the house, agreed to help them contact Duchess Yoshiko Saruwatari of Rikura, as well as to aid them in covering up incidents that happen inside the Imperial military industrial complex. This would enable Kaguya to assassinate important regime supporters, while Eudokia pretends to be friends with the children of other nobles to blackmail or bribe them with promises. In reality, the not-so-cooperative nobles did not have a choice but to sign agreements with Eudokia, as they held a gun to their head by Lilim Scarlet’s PMC, who were former inquisitors of the organization with the same name.

Meeting Emiko

In 2013, when the Imperial Naval Academy held a banquet for the state leaders, a simulation battle between two of the best students was held. Eudokia and Kaguya infiltrated the Academy to find a maritime supporter that would aid them in smuggling weapons from Rikura for future resistance. Young Fuyu Inaban and Young Emiko Maryuyama. While Fuyu Inaban officially won, she knew the game was rigged because Inaban was from a traditional Naval Noble Family; the academy would not allow her to lose. Fuyu Inaban revealed this to Emiko Maryuyama. Emiko tried to complain to the director; however, Fuyu Inaban stopped her because of all the high-ranking officials at the banquet, saving her from a potential death penalty. This was seen by both Eudokia and Kaguya.

Emiko’s failure to meet the expectations of her parents caused her to challenge her family’s involvement with funding Simon Mendelson’s PGRI experiment. Emiko ran away from her home and was recruited by Eudokia and Kaguya to be a smuggler and a PMC captain. She would later be given a Rikuran battleship disguised as a security ship called the Kankandara by the Sumimoto Holdings Corporation, which became a subsidiary of Lilim Scarlet in 2014.

Civil War

With all the pieces in place, Eudokia permitted Sumimoto Holdings to hijack the autonomous Arsenal Ray to crash into the Senate Terminal in 2019, triggering the civil war. Kaguya used her connection with the Inaban family as a temporary PGRI associate to make contact with Admiral Fuyu Inaban. To which they came to a deal that would save Haru, Fuyu Inaban’s clone sister, from Simon Mendelson. This caused the Old Imperial Navy to rebel against the central government and fight the socialists from Hinomoto.

As they planned, the socialists and the Old Imperial Navy, along with the Hirosei House, agreed to a truce to rid the country of the fascist regime and establish a democratic parliamentary state.

The same year, Eudokia and Kaguya discovered a PGRI factory for synthetic humans near Ciel Ra. Eudokia saw the potential in synthetic human bodies as a Miraculum Resonance solution. With the help of the newly founded Yotsubishi Heavy Industries and M-factor, they were able to awaken Prototype No.7, or they called her Pina.

Fortress of Wisdom

After the Valarssari War in 2019, most of Wasaru was devastated. Kyaon had fully collapsed. Eudokia proposed to rebuild Kyaon as a base of operations as well as to retrieve the legendary Tainted Grail from the ruins of Holy Uyna for their plan, to which Kaguya agreed. With both diplomatic connections to the new democratic government and Sumimoto Holdings’s assets, they were able to pseudo-colonize Kyaon and rebuild it as an academy city in Eudokia’s ideals.

Road to Endgame 2026

While Eudokia’s endgame was to solve the Miraculum Crisis by replacing Pan-Human History’s texture with Pupatory’s, Pina later revealed that Eudokia’s goal and Kaguya’s were not compatible, as Kaguya’s true goal was to awaken the girl dreaming in the crystal, which would cause the largest Miraculum Resonance and risk damaging the Pan-Human History. This revelation had put strains between Kaguya and Eudokia. However, they continue to work together for the time being, because all three of them are on a watchlist by the Administration of the Inner World for their possession of the Tainted Grail. Kaguya tried to convince Eudokia that Pina has ulterior motives, but Eudokia no longer trusts Kaguya.

While no one, neither the Gatekeeper Administration nor SSS are currently aware of the three’s different goals, all three of them would retexture the universe if they aren’t stopped.**
