Utopia

Utopia is the fourth planet from Helios and the only known planet to harbor life in the Helios System. Home to large oceans and continental landmasses, about 65% of Utopia’s surface is liquid water, with the remaining 35% split across seven continents. These continents contain a wide range of biomes from vast deserts to sprawling plains and lush jungles. The majority of Utopia’s atmosphere is nitrogen or oxygen, which allows for the abundant life on the planet.

Utopia is not only the largest of the Helios System’s four rocky planets, but it also has the only natural satellite found within the innermost four planets, the Moon. The Moon is a rocky satellite with a similar composition to Utopia, but has no liquid water or atmosphere. The moon is a significant regulating force for Utopia, providing stabilizing effects on its rotation and also contributing to the existence of tides in Utopia’s oceans.

Humanity, the dominant form of life on Utopia, emerged some 300,000 years ago in Wasaru, and have since spread to every continent on the planet. Prior to humanity, a sentient species known as the Vril originated on Utopia, but fled in an intergalactic exodus about 2 million years ago. While the Vril returned in 2018, their numbers had significantly dwindled and Humanity remains the most populous sentient species on the planet.
