Orionite
Orionite is the third major moon of Aurora and the largest moon in the Helios system. It is somewhat larger than Tir, but significantly less massive. Its surface is largely ice with some silicate rock throughout, giving the surface a mixed coloration of dark and light spots. Underneath the surface, it is suspected there is little to none tectonic activity, however some hypothesize that like Saggitor the planet may have extensive sub-surface oceans.
Orionite was initially discovered by Electrican astronomers who named the planet after Sentinel Orionite from the Pantheon of the Stars who guarded the gates to the afterlife, commonly seen as Aurora. Orionite remained relatively unstudied compared to the Bakhtyamov moons until the 2021 destruction of the Jezabelstienian weapons platform the Fury. While formerly lightly cratered, Orionite’s surface has since been littered with significant debris from the Fury wreckage. Efforts to recover this debris by Primordial Tiamat are underway.
